Efficient Production of Antioxidants from Rape Pollen via a Chromatographic Strategy

Rape pollen has always been considered as a research hotspot in health foods and pharmaceuticals due to its abundance of natural active ingredients. In this work, compound with antioxidant activity was directly isolated from the methanol extract rape using two-step procedure, under supervision online HPLC−1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (HPLC-DPPH) detection. Firstly, HPLC−DPPH detection used identify peaks pollen, then pretreated via medium-pressure liquid chromatography (MPLC) obtain target fraction 3 (Fr3). Fr3 further purified HPLC finally 3-1, which identified kaempferol 3,4′-di-O-β-D-glucopyranoside through NMR mass spectrometry. To explore free radical scavenging compound, DPPH ability determined, two proteins related pathway were for molecular docking. The results revealed that chromatographic strategy study efficient reliable separating high−purity antioxidants pollen. A such this, meanwhile, also holds promise qualitatively identifying specifically isolating compounds other products.
